The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, in collaboration with the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association and in partnership with the University of Arkansas divisions of Economic Development and Research and Innovation, presented Energy Innovation Day on June 15, 2023. The event offered the opportunity for advanced energy industry stakeholders to connect with potential research partners and funding opportunities.

Dr. Eileen Chant, Outreach Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy, presented a workshop on federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs and then met 1:1 to discuss projects and funding opportunities with researchers and entrepreneurs.

The day also included an industry overview panel, an innovation showcase that highlighted cutting-edge energy technologies, and networking with academia, industry, government, investors, innovators, and thought leaders.
