Sugarbush Intimate Skin Care + Wellness is a new skincare brand founded by Crystal Rascoe. The company was inspired by Rascoe’s own personal health journey and her mission to provide high-quality, natural intimate care products.
Rascoe first learned about the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at the University of Arkansas when researching resources for entrepreneurs. Her early conversations with ASBTDC consultant Lori Lieblong centered around women’s health issues, particularly the need for more education and visibility around perimenopause. The ASBTDC team provided invaluable guidance as Rascoe developed her business plan, conducted market research, and crafted her brand strategy.
The name “Sugarbush” was inspired by the Sugarbush Protea, a resilient flower and the unofficial national flower of South Africa for 200 years. It represents resilience and the ability to thrive in all conditions. “Women, too, grow and thrive in all seasons of life,” Rascoe explains.
Sugarbush products are vegan, organic, and infused with natural essential oils and honey for its antimicrobial properties. The line includes intimate-focused balms and hydrating mists designed to meet the unique needs of this delicate area.
Sugarbush is on a mission to build a global presence with high-quality, transformative offerings. Rascoe’s entrepreneurial journey hasn’t been without its lessons – she emphasizes the importance of establishing a healthy marketing budget and having a solid pre-launch strategy in place.
“Don’t allow yourself to get stuck. Fail fast and seek help early and often to set your business up for success,” Rascoe said.
Through Sugarbush, Rascoe hopes to not only provide effective intimate care solutions, but also increase awareness and destigmatize conversations around women’s health. By drawing on her personal experiences and collaborating with expert resources like the ASBTDC, she is positioning Sugarbush as a trusted, innovative player in the self-care space.
