Grace Lorenzo’s Bridal and Formal Wear is a mother and daughter-owned business located in the heart of downtown Rogers. Offering formal wear for bridal, pageant, prom or a special event, the duo strives to provide the best in service and style for a customer’s special day.

In 2021, owners Angela Bohannan and Grace Ramirez began to envision the start of a new business together. When a Rogers retail location, previously housing a bridal shop, was offered, they saw the perfect opportunity to put their passion into a bridal and formal attire business.

Opening a new retail specialty shop can be daunting, so Bohannon and Ramirez reached out to Mary Beth Brooks at the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center in Fayetteville. With expert guidance from Brooks, Bohannan developed a deeper understanding of the need to plan strategically with an update of her business plan and financial projections. “Mary Beth was very helpful in the way that she made me step back and question everything which taught me to look at it from all sides”, according to Bohannon. Being provided with the ASBTDC competitive analysis and market research specific to this business sector, Bohannan and Ramirez were able to better grasp what was necessary to ensure success in starting their business.

Thanks to the assistance and expertise of Mary Beth Brooks and the ASBTDC, Grace Lorenzo’s Bridal and Formal Wear has been a success. Bohannan states that she is incredibly grateful for the time and effort Brooks put in to guiding her through opening a business that she can put her heart into everyday. “Grace Lorenzo’s Bridal and Formal Wear is a business started out of love. My daughter and I just enjoy selling formal wear and I hope our customers can feel our passion for this business. We want to be a part of this community for a long time,” said Bohannon.
