With a goal to provide exceptional care with minimal wait times, Elkins Complete Care focuses on the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Opening in Spring 2025, the clinic offers a personalized experience tailored to an individual’s unique needs and feel heard, respected, and fully supported—combining traditional healthcare, mental health counseling, and massage therapy.
David Young, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and proud Navy veteran with 20 years of healthcare experience, began his career as a medic in the Armed Forces and has since evolved into a board-certified nurse practitioner.
Building the Vision
Young worked with ASBTDC Business Consultant Mary Beth Brooks from concept to clinic completion. His top challenges included getting started, finding funding, budgeting, and business planning. To assist in building out the clinic concept, Young received comprehensive market research and financial projections, then created a business plan. He also took advantage of resources offered on starting a business in Arkansas, including guidance on commercial leasing.
“Working with Mary Beth has been a great experience and very helpful—learning things I didn’t even know I didn’t know,” said Young. “And I am still learning what I need to know!”
From Plan to Reality
Staying on track with a pre-approved loan, Young realized he could open the clinic by self-funding. He secured a strong location, became established with a medical records system, obtained malpractice insurance, and completed credentialing.
Comprehensive, Evidence-Based Care
Providing evidence-based care across the life span, Young offers healthcare ranging from everyday illness and minor injuries to vaccinations, physicals, and other lab testing. The clinic is built around comfort for the patient and personalized attention. Dr. Lacey Mosher, LPC (licensed counselor), offers therapeutic services that address mental and emotional health, while massage therapy rounds out the holistic approach to wellness.
