Test Your Idea First!
Angela reached out to the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas with an idea for a future business. Starting a business takes time, money, a lot of sacrifices and every entrepreneur has their own path. Angela is clear about the importance of testing an idea before launching as she knows it is a crucial step to the success of her business. She has been testing the idea with some friends’ children, having the opportunity to work in all the necessary steps of opening a new business: identifying who the target and the needs of her potential customers.
Angela has a degree in Psychology from her native country of Colombia and is the mom of an 8-year-old son. She worked in childhood matters for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as Save the Children. From a young age, she loved sewing and design. Her business idea started when she was asked by some friends to give classes to their kids. This has been a great opportunity for her since it combines her passions of sewing and working with children.
