Bill Fox

Bill Fox

Bill Fox is the Center Director of the Walton College Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He joined the Walton College ASBTDC as business consultant in 2007 and became Center Director in 2015. Bill oversees all operations of the center and works with small business clients on various types of business issues such as financing options and the loan process, preparation of financial projections, market research, business planning, marketing, and financial management. He also works closely with NWA community resource partners of the center such as area commercial lenders, chambers of commerce, and other university colleges and departments.

Before joining the Walton College ASBTDC, Bill was a former small business owner, having developed and operated a retail gift concept store and a catering company. He also has lending experience as a banker/loan officer with Bank of America and has worked in higher education as director of a student enterprise program at the University of Pennsylvania, as coordinator for a disability services program at Broward (FL) Community College, and as a job developer for Florida Atlantic University.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from West Virginia University.



Ashley Chua

As Office Manager, Ashley is responsible for accounting entries, financial reporting and provides various support services for the Walton College ASBTDC. She works closely with Center Director in preparing proposals, department budgeting, and submitting grant applications.

Ashley relocated to Fayetteville from Orange County, California in 2005. Prior to joining the SBTDC staff, she was previously the Senior Financial Analyst at United HealthCare in Cypress, California. She holds a BSBA in Accounting from California State University at Long Beach and has more than 14 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.

She enjoys the beautiful Fall colors in Northwest Arkansas and is very active in serving the international students community on campus by volunteering with International Students and Scholars Office (ISS) and International Student Christian Association (ISCA).

Lori Lieblong

Business Consultant

Lori is the Lead Business Consultant with the Walton College Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center. She works with small business clients on various types of business issues such as financing options and the loan process, preparation of financial projections, market research, business planning, marketing, and financial management. Lori's areas of expertise include branding strategy, marketing planning and sales strategy.

Lori also coordinates media relations and marketing efforts on behalf of the Walton College ASBTDC and oversees its small business training seminar program and community resource development partnerships with area chambers of commerce and other business development associations of the eight-county region of Northwest Arkansas. Lori joined the center in 2016.

Lori is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas and she holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing and an MBA, both from the Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas. Prior to joining the ASBTDC she worked in multiple east coast metropolitan areas and Northwest Arkansas in the areas of marketing, sales and analytics for consumer products companies and has extensive experience working with large national retailers; including Walmart and Sam's Club.



Makena G Fisher

Makena Collins is a Business Consultant with the Walton College Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center. She is responsible for business consulting and the development and coordination of training seminar programs and education activities which include scheduling programs, recruiting volunteer speakers, recruiting corporate and community partners including in-kind and paid contributors, developing curriculum, instructing seminars, handling logistical details, and marketing programs. Makena works directly with NWA small business owners in training clients, private sector individuals; local, state, and federal organizations, and other interested parties that serve, support or interact with the small business sector.

Makena oversees social media relations and assists in marketing efforts for the ASBTDC. Makena is a recent graduate of College of the Ozarks where she studied Communications and Public Relations. She worked on campus for her education while simultaneously working off campus for a total of thirty hours a week, maintaining up to eighteen credit hours, and being involved in several extra-curricular activities.

Makena has spent the past four and a half years being involved in Student Government as a Senator and as Vice President, planning and implementing events, marketing, advertising, gathering volunteers and leading the clubs and organizations to grow and succeed. Makena has gained experience as a social media agent for a small business in the Springfield, Mo area. She specializes in content marketing, SEO, copyrighting, and social media.
